OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Contracts Supervisor to join our team in the Dublin area.
As a Contracts Supervisor you will be responsible for the management and execution of contract(s), monitoring progress and maintaining regular contact with the client representatives and surfacing crew.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU…

  • Third level construction related qualification or minimum 2 years experience in similar role within highway works or a related discipline or alternatively 5 years demonstrative experience in a similar role within highway works or a related discipline
  • Full driving licence.
  • Computer literate and a working knowledge of relevant applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Working knowledge of specifications, materials, plant, works methods
  • Ability to constructively solve problems in a site fast moving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and manage the site, ensuring materials arrive and are laid in a timely manner in accordance with the contract specifications.
  • Inspection of site prior to laying of material to ensure the substrate is in an acceptable condition. Determine quantities required and place material orders.
  • Adherence to work schedule on a daily basis, ensuring adequate resources are available and maximized.
  • Assume responsibility for site coordination, ensuring that all site activities are coordinated within the project schedule and within the requirements of the contract. This includes all work carried out by employees and by sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for the service and maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring planned and routine maintenance is carried out on a daily basis and plant is stored in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that all sites are left in a clean and tidy manner and completed to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Maintain effective relationships between the Company and the client, providing necessary information to them regarding the operation of the project.
  • Ensure that the key roles are staffed with people who can effectively undertake their roles Ensure that their roles are clearly defined, understood and that their performance is regularly reviewed. Ensure all employees are motivated to achieve the business’ and their personal objectives.
  • Comply with all relevant statutory provisions, as appropriate, and take reasonable care to protect your own safety, health and welfare and the safety health and welfare of your team. Ensure all contracts are compliant with safety health and welfare regulations and company policies.
  • Return all health and safety documentation to the contract’s manager on a monthly basis. Report all accidents to your contracts manager and take a lead role in investigating all accidents in line with company procedure.
  • On completion of contract quantities should be agreed and signed off by the client. The relevant paperwork should then be submitted to the contract’s administrator within 7 days of completion for processing. Highlighting any site issues or problems to the contract’s manager.
  • Follow all company policy, procedures, and site rules.
