Fulltime Hours / 12 hour shifts
Rotating roster (4 on 4 off) 0600-1800 x 2, 1800 - 0600 x 2.
Level 5 ASISA rates ($27.74 p/hr)

About the role

This fast paced and interesting role offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience and contribute positively to the safety and security of all personnel across multiple sites. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. As a Control Room Operator/Security Officer you will be responsible for providing customer service of the highest quality through your proactive, professional and sound approach and building strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Main point of contact for Security for the sites, high volume of phone calls and associated requests
  • Management of access control and security systems
  • Operation and monitoring of security alarms and access control systems (alarm response, sites access, visitor management)
  • CCTV operation and vigilance in viewing (prevention of anti social behaviour and criminal activity)
  • Dispatching system used to communicate and coordinate large number of security across multiple sites

This role is the conduit for the Security team and is responsible for the managing on incidents across the sites in consultation with the team on the ground. There is a high level of expectation and responsibility placed on individuals undertaking this role and is fundamental to the wider teams ability to carry out their duties. The range and amount of stakeholders dealt with ensure that customer service is a main priority for the role and is essentially the first point of contact for enquiries and requests.
Skills & experience

Desired but not mandatory

  • Microsoft Office suite
  • CCTV experience (Avigilon)
  • Report writing and dispatching (Perspective)
  • Alarm monitoring and access control (Gallagher Configuration software)
