Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Vestas Power Solutions (VPS), you’ll find our department, Power Production & Back-up, as part of Turbine Control Software.
Power Backup & Production is one of the eight functional development teams within the Turbine Control Software Module. Comprising engineers from Portugal, Denmark, and India, the team is committed to overseeing all facets of software deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming
  • Good understanding of Object-Oriented and State-based software design
  • Practical experience in product or technology development

Desirable:

  • Background or interest in power system engineering
  • Prior experience in control software development
  • Familiarity with GIT, JIRA, and other Atlassian tools

Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with software developers and stakeholders within the team
  • Participate in full project lifecycles, employing Agile practices for software development
  • Contribute actively to defining functional and software requirements for turbine control systems
  • Write and update thorough technical documentation, ensuring software functionality maintenance
  • Develop and maintain control systems for diverse turbine hardware components
  • Create high-quality software within a dynamic and intricate domain
  • Conduct root cause analysis to pinpoint potential turbine performance issues
  • Actively participate in the refinement and advancement of processes, software, and tools through consistent improvement endeavors
