Description:

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
The Control Tower Specialist will mainly be providing support to Operations and the National Account Manager concerned (NAM) in monitoring and resolving any operational issues that might be escalated internally or by Customers.
This person should basically be commercial and service oriented, motivated and a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in handling this Customer segment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite, Excel and operational system (C1)
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Detail-oriented, and able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, and able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Customer-orientated
  • Able to effectively solve any problems
  • Able to establish priorities and multi-task

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelors Degree and / or a Higher Diploma holder, and above
  • Preference given to incumbent with at least 7 to 10 years’ relevant work experience
  • Experienced customer servicing (Control Tower) in handling Strategic accounts preferred

Responsibilities:

  • To manage and ensure compliance of key deliverables against committed service levels and SOPs
  • Support Operations and National Account Manager (NAM) to monitor operational issues that affect the achievement of customer and internal KPI’s, milestones and adherence to SOPs
  • Assist NAM to solve issues that are escalated internally or by customer, ensure CARs are resolved within the expected timeframe, deep dive and identify root cause of reoccurring issues and propose solutions and processes for operational improvement
  • Assist NAM in business and performance reviews (MBR and QBR)
  • Assist NAM with the implementation of new businesses
  • Other tasks as assigned by the NAM for continue process improvement in Operations
