Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.Provide insightful recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop realistic and actionable budgets.Monitor budget performance, analyze deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Develop financial forecasts and models to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and tax obligations.Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors to facilitate the audit process.
  • Treasury and Cash Management:
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic objectives.Oversee banking relationships, including negotiating terms and optimizing banking services.Develop and implement strategies to maximize investment returns while minimizing risk.
  • Content Management:
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop high-level retail content related to financial performance, sustainability initiatives, and corporate social responsibility.Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial messaging across various communication channels, including website, social media, and investor relations materials.
  • Retail-Level Financial Operations:
  • Oversee retail-level financial operations, including sales reporting, inventory management, and pricing strategies.Analyze retail performance metrics to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements.Work closely with retail managers to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Mentor and develop staff through coaching, training, and performance management initiatives.
