Description:

We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team in Morgan Hill, California. This senior executive position involves managing the financial operations of our company. The role is integral to our strategy, requiring close collaboration with the Board of Directors and other executives to establish short term objectives and long-range plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors and other executives to establish short term objectives and long-range plans.
  • Present quarterly reports on the company’s operations to the board of directors and staff.
  • Review financial results of all operations, comparing them to the company’s objectives and taking appropriate action to rectify performance and results.
  • Prepare financial statements, including income statement, balance sheets, and WIP report.
  • Prepare and file quarterly and yearly state and federal payroll tax returns and other governmental agency reports.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
  • Maximize return, and limit risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.
  • Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; and recommending plans.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant entities.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with DCAA regulations and procedures
  • Proficient in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
  • Knowledge of ERP Solutions and their implementation
  • Ability to handle all Accounting Functions with accuracy and efficiency
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Strong skills in Auditing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Experience with Budget Processes and financial forecasting.
