Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Controller at Giftbit, you are responsible for operational excellence across key financial areas of our growing business. This is a high impact and high input role. In this role you are responsible to oversee, execute, and improve existing financial processes. More importantly, you will define and implement critical new processes.
This role is responsible for key areas of finance in the business: customer and supplier funding in multiple currencies, revenue recognition, payroll, cashflow management and optimization, and tax and accounting. You will have support from Giftbit’s operations and administrative team, bookkeepers, fractional CFO resources, and resources at the company’s USA and Canadian accounting firms.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Ensure financial excellence, from operations to analysis, as Giftbit grows globally.
- Operate finances for Giftbit’s USA and Canadian companies, following the IFRS accounting standard.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including running payroll, corporate banking, inventory management, and customer funding of accounts.
- Manage and optimize cashflows, exercising judgment between a variety of cash and liability accounts in multiple currencies.
- Provide input and detailed financial guidance on Giftbit’s product and engineering team to automate finance functions where sensible.
- Run monthly financial reconciliation and revenue recognition process.
- Create financial forecasts, analysis, models, and presentations to assist the executives and board with planning and decision making.
- Define and implement new financial processes.
