As a signatory of the “Diversity Charter”, we live diversity and are looking for a motivated Controller (m/f/d) to support us in our office in the city center. Tasks
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker; a thought-leader in defining, driving and executing the functions’ financial planning, reporting and process; have strong analytical skills; be able to work with business leaders to derive and explain expense allocation; and possess the ability to work with various levels of the organization in
support of goals and objectives.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsibility for all financial processes within the company
  • Working directly with the CEO and the group’s CFO team
  • Provide value-added insight into the business
  • Provide monthly reporting packages that include full financial analysis, comprehensive key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, unit economics, operational dashboards, analysis of key business trends, actual vs. budget variance, and comprehensive executive-level explanation of differences.
  • Maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets and tax compliance issues
  • Track, and monitor key operating metrics used to drive the business to greater

efficiency

  • Assumption of own internal and group-wide projects
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both

Requirements

  • BA and MA from a school in finance, accounting, economics, or similar fields.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA-Wirtschaftsprüfer in German)
  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
  • Demonstrates an executive presence, interpersonal communication skills, well-honed influencing skills, and the capability to work closely with a full range of teams across the company.
  • Strong strategic and results orientation.
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance; entrepreneurial drive with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel
  • Very good knowledge of English and at least a good knowledge of German
  • Confident appearance and confident communication
