Description:

Robert Half is in search of a skilled Controller to join our client in Minden, Nevada. This role plays a pivotal part in the financial department, with a focus on managing month-end close, cost accounting, cash flow, and ERP implementations. This opportunity offers a long term temporary/contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the month-end close process ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Handle cost accounting tasks including variance analysis, capital projects, and start-up and turnaround situations.
  • Execute cash flow management duties.
  • Coordinate audit management and inventory audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Employ advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Manage account reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes and tools for the accountable programs
  • Collaborate with various business partners for various program controllership and FP& A activities such as ensuring accrual models are accurate and accounting methods are appropriate, as well as true-up activities and answer queries from business, area and subsidiary controllers
  • Utilize NetSuite for various financial functions and processes.

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Controller or similar role in the finance department
  • Proficiency in using ERP Solutions is required
  • Extensive experience in Auditing procedures is necessary for this role
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong skills in Cash Flow Management
  • Experience in Month End Close activities is mandatory
  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in using NetSuite software is necessary for this role
  • Candidate should have excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills are required
  • Must have a degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field; a Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
