We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated part-time Controller consultant to join our team in Livonia, Michigan, within the machine tool industry. The role involves overseeing the company’s accounting and treasury operations, including tasks like reconciling cash, inputting payroll into the system, and maintaining up-to-date files. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an all-hands-on role that requires strong organizational skills and a firm understanding of accounting software systems.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLSET:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experienced in working with ADP - Financial Services.
• Knowledge and understanding of DCAA regulations.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Expertise in implementing ERP Solutions.
• Proven ability to manage Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Possess strong skills in Auditing.
• Experience in managing Budget Processes.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong ethical standards and integrity.

• Oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Reconcile cash regularly to maintain accurate financial records
• Input payroll data into the system in a timely and accurate manner
• Maintain and update the company’s files to ensure all records are current
• Utilize the SAGE 50 system to carry out various accounting tasks
• Conduct treasury-related duties as required
• Ensure all accounting journals are created and updated
• Prepare monthly statements for the parent company in Taiwan
• Handle payable filing to ensure all payables are recorded and updated
• Work closely with the head of engineering on treasury and banking tasks.
