Controller

We are in search of an experienced Controller to join our team based in UNION, Missouri. This role is within the telecom provider industry and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. The Controller will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, including but not limited to, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and the financial close process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Experience with ERP Solutions
• Ability to manage Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Experience with Financial Close Process and Monthly Financial Close
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Prior work experience in a role of Controller is preferred.
