Description:
Orlando company is looking for a Controller. This is a HYBRID position with 4 days remote and 1 day in the office. The company is looking for a minimum of 5+ years of experience. Responsibilities of the Controller will include, but not limited to the following.
– This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
– The Controller has overall responsibility for supervising the entire accounting function including revenue recognition and receivables, expenditures and payables, payroll, and financial reporting functions.
– Oversee daily operations of the accounting/finance department.
– Perform in-depth reviews of financial controls and operating results to identify and implement action plans that will result in improvements.
– Overall responsibility for overseeing the Company’s accounting processes, general ledger maintenance, month-end close process and preparation of monthly financial statements and other monthly financial reports for use by Operational Managers, the Executive Team, the Board of Directors, and external users.
– Ensure financial records adhere to GAAP, applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws for financial reporting as well as company and management policies and procedures.
– Determine and report company KPI’s and compare with industry standards to ensure maximizing efficiency and profitability.
– Develop, train, and lead finance personnel on internal controls and other financial concepts that will allow them to perform their functions in a fashion that minimizes the company’s risk of loss and maximizes financial performance.
– Oversee the coordination and the preparation of the annual audit and tax return preparation with external auditors and of regulatory audits.
– Timely and effective identification and analysis of impact of changes in accounting rules or operational changes on the company’s financial performance.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
