Our healthcare client is seeking a Controller consultant for a contract to hire opportunity. This hybrid role is located in Troy Michigan and will report directly to the CFO.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILL SET:

Must possess a minimum of seven years of experience in a Controller role or similar.
Demonstrable proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions is compulsory.
Must be adept in handling all accounting functions.
Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
Must be knowledgeable about budget processes.
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and formulas.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems effectively and efficiently.

Execute month-end close procedures accurately and timely
Oversee the maintenance of the company’s books and ensure they are up-to-date
Book all journal entries in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
Run the books efficiently, ensuring all entries are correctly logged
Leverage a solid understanding of accounting principles to ensure financial processes are adhered to
Produce and analyze Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, providing insights to the management team
Handle a blend of Controller and finance-related tasks to support overall financial operations
Use ERP solutions and accounting software systems to streamline financial operations
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including auditing, budget processes, and DCAA compliance
