Description:

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to work in our Automation facility. As a Controls Engineer you will be responsible for creating hardware designs and PLC programs that will control our automation equipment.
We have three levels of a Controls Engineer, with varying levels of responsibility and requirements.
As a Controls Engineer I you will be responsible for:
Troubleshoot wiring and pneumatic circuits
Build Ladder logic programs using current templates and standards
Ability to Path program robots
Assist other Controls Engineer in task assigned
Fanuc Robot Training
Requirements for a Controls Engineer I:
1-5 years’ experience in controls / electrical role in industrial automation or Bachelor’s Degree in Related Engineering field
Detail Orientated
Travel 20-40%, representing ArtiFlex professionally at all times
Understand basic Electrical Concepts, and automation
Willingness to learn and be Flexible
Basic knowledge of AutoCad Electrical
Basic knowledge of Rockwell Software’s (Studio5000, FT View ME)
A mid-level, Controls Engineer II, would be responsible for:
Design electrical schematics in Autocad electrical
Create PLC / HMI using Customer spec
Vision systems
Ability to Path Program 1 or more robot platforms
Define I/O structure for PLC / Robots
Troubleshoot and start up controls systems

Lead and mentor other controls / robotic / build personnel
Perform basic electrical and pneumatic calculations
Create new standards and templates for PLC / HMI programming
Define / Design / Programming Motion controls systems
Requirements for a Controls Engineer II are:
3-7 years’ experience in automation as a controls engineer
Exceed (Controls Engineer I, Robot Programming I) job Responsibility
Knowledge of Studio5000, FT View, Fanuc, ABB, AutoCad Electrical
Siemens, Omron, GE skills are a plus
Travel for installs 20-40%
A Senior Controls Engineer III would be responsible for:
Design controls systems (electrical schematics, software, pneumatic)
Peripheral device programming
Program and design using customer specifications
Support, lead and mentor personnel in all departments, positive and encouraging
Assist with management of control department
Manage work flow of other within department
Create new Standards for department
Ability to develop new PLC / HMI / Vision Systems on multiple control platforms
Assist Program Management with budget and timing
Senior Controls Engineer Requirements:
Exceed (Controls Engineer II, Robot Programming II) job Responsibility
At least 7 years’ experience in the automation industry as a controls engineer
Knowledge of Studio5000, FT View, Fanuc, ABB, AutoCad Electrical
Siemens, Omron, GE skills are a plus
Proficiency in developing Data tracking systems (MES, SCADA, Andon)
Travel to and startup controls system at customer sites
