Ascension Indiana is looking to hire a Full Time COO/ CNO to join our team in Anderson, Indiana!
Serving Indiana since 1881, Ascension St. Vincent operates 19 hospitals in addition to a comprehensive network of
affiliated joint ventures, medical practices and clinics serving central and southern Indiana and employs more than
13,730 associates.
What You Will Do:

Formulate and oversee the organization’s planning, policies and practices in collaboration with executive leadership as the Ministry Market’s COO and as the Chief Nursing Officer leads the Hospital’s senior management team in planning, directing and coordinating operations to achieve the health ministry’s mission, strategic directives and goals.

  • Participate in development of the organization’s vision, policies and short- and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and medical staff to identify and develop new patient care programs, policies, procedures, and practice standards for the nursing departments.
  • Develop, implement and monitor operating budgets for areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and recommend cost effective and efficient solutions.
  • Develop and implement a program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care provided by the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to nursing services and healthcare.
  • Serve as liaison between Board of Directors, executive leadership, management, stakeholders, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.

What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.Master’s degree or combination of Bachelor’s degree and experience preferred.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
