Description:
- Job Title: Cook
- Place of Work: Chim Thai Restaurant at 111 Thomas Road, Rototuna, Hamilton 3210
- Work hours: 30 - 40 hours weekly, Tuesday to Sunday, between 11:00 am and 9:30 pm. The Employer will roster actual hours to be worked from time to time.
- Wage: $ 29.66 to $ 30.00

We are Chim Thai at Rototuna, Hamilton. We are currently seeking a full-time cook to join our busy team.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least one year’s work experience as a cook preferably in an Asian Kitchen
- Adherence to Health and Safety at Work Procedures
- Adherence to Food Safety Procedures
- Attention to detail
- Time Management
- Willingness to work flexible hours, having a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and being a productive team player.

Responsibilities:
- Inspecting food items to maintain quality standards.
- Monitoring and controlling temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
- Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes.
- Seasoning dishes during the cooking process.
- Portioning food, arranging it on plates, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
- Ensuring proper storage of food in temperature-controlled environments.
- Adapting food preparation to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Potential involvement in menu planning and estimating ingredient requirements.
- Providing guidance and training to kitchen staff and apprentices when necessary
