Regents Garden Lake Joondalup is currently recruiting for a casual cook / kitchen position. To join the team you will be required to have experience in the hospitality industry and exceptional skills working and communicating with people.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in food preparation and cooking for large numbers of people.
• Preferred TAFE certificate (Cook or equivalent)
• National Police Certificate

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining efficient management and delivery of food services for residents.
• To take responsibility and charge of the kitchen in the Chef Manager’s absence when in the role of Cook.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delegates tasks to the catering staff in the preparation and service of meals.
• Complies with policies and procedures in relation to Food Handling and Infection Control.
• Enforces and promotes compliance by all kitchen staff to policies and procedures in relation to Food Handling and Infection Control.
• A can do attitude with attention to detail.
• Prepares residents’ meals according to dietary plans and menus developed in consultation with a Dietician and the Chef Manager.
• Flexibility to work various days and shifts.
