ABOUT THE ROLE:

Join our team and make a difference in the lives of our residents through the delivery of fantastic food! This opportunity is available on a permanent part-time basis with shifts available during the week and weekend.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch and dinner meal services.
• Maintaining a well organised food production and distribution operation ensuring that the needs of the residents, customers, staff, and the organisation are met.
• Playing a key role in menu planning, standard recipe development and the dietary needs of the residents and customers.

KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience working in an aged care environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor the food service team.
• Understanding of the Food Safety (HACCP) guidelines and regulations in relation to food preparation and quality food and beverage service practices.
• Experience with food ordering and managing stock levels.
• Knowledge of texture-modified foods, allergies and the ability to cater for specific diets.
• Working rights within Australia.
• National Police Clearance.
