Overview
Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Director of Food Services. Responsible for the supervision and outcomes of meal services at the coffee shop. Ensures compliance with county, state standards and accrediting agencies.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates the daily operation of coffee shop, all coffee shop employees, and all coffee shop services.
2. Interviews, selects, trains and orients new employees.
3. Monitors attendance and daily performance of assigned employees, maintains necessary documentation; counsels and disciplines as necessary.

  1. Responsible for the overall staffing functions and programs including:
  • Screening, hiring orientation and retraining of personnel.
  • Evaluations, competency testing, performance reviews, job descriptions, work scheduling.
  • Schedules staff and makes adjustments when needed to ensure high quality services and products.
  1. Monitors sanitation and safety of work areas and equipment for compliance with health department regulations and fire codes.
  2. Monitors adherence to department and Medical Center policies and procedures.
  3. Monitors department operations on weekends and holidays.
  4. Assist with budgeting and taking inventory of supplies, equipment, and personnel in assigned areas.
  5. Purchase or requisition necessary items in sufficient amounts to complete tasks appropriately.
  6. Monitors the accurate preparation and delivery of coffee shop services including meals, snacks and vending.
  7. Maintains and promotes customer satisfaction and positive interpersonal relations with all team members.
  8. Maintains and adjusts personal schedule to enhance team performance.

  • High School Diploma

Other information:
Experience: Two years of supervisory food service experience, preferably in a health care setting. Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
