Your new role
As the Coordinator Community Resilience and Partnerships, you will lead a dynamic multidisciplinary team within the portfolios of community engagement and capacity building, and collective impact which support the resilience and social cohesion of communities across the Campbelltown LGA. You will also provide operational support to implement recommendations of the 2021 Resilience Hazard Assessment and lead Council’s key planning documents including the Inclusion Action Plan, the Reconciliation Action Plan, Our Voice: Aboriginal Interpretation Strategy, the Family and Domestic Violence Strategy and targeted place-based interventions. Your role is responsible for coordinating the Community and Road Safety program for Council, working in collaboration with other government stakeholders. The team works alongside the community and service sector to develop responses to priority social issues experienced in Campbelltown and implement strategies that build community resilience. You will work alongside fellow Coordinators of the Community Life section, which are responsible for delivering inclusive-inspired places, ensuring local residents live enriched, healthy lifestyles and have the opportunity to participate fully in the community.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in areas such as: Social Work, Community Engagement, Community Development, Cultural Development, Leadership, Social Policy.
- Demonstrated experience researching, analysing and integrating social, economic and environmental data and trends
- Ability to lead, support and manage a dynamic and multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to work with external stakeholders including service providers and community representatives to achieve measurable community outcomes.
- Experience applying social impact frameworks to achieve community resilience or in delivering community-led solutions.
- The ability to collaborate with peers and colleagues from across an organisation on cross-divisional priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills, demonstrating the capacity to influence, collaborate and negotiate.
- Ability to deliver strategic outcomes when problem-solving and addressing community issues.Working with Children Check
- Current Class C drivers’ licence
