Midcoast Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the Liveable Communities Division as a Coordinator Development Engineering. This is a critical role that offers an exciting opportunity to shape and guide a team and ensure excellent development outcomes for the communities of the Mid Coast region of NSW.
REQUIREMENTS:
Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar discipline.
Proven experience in leadership, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving organisational goals.
- Strong knowledge and experience in managing development assessments, prioritising and effectively managing multiple assessments.
- In-depth understanding of council standards, specifications, codes and policies in relation to infrastructure compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership to a team of development engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage the process of development assessments, including reviewing and evaluating proposals, ensuring compliance with regulations, standards and policies.
- Enforce council standards, specifications, codes and policies in relation to infrastructure throughout the development application process.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders, making informed decisions and recommendations.
