Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Coordinator Materials Management delivers med-surge products to Nursing Units throughout the building. They use bar code scanner to order supplies while answering Vocera when called by end users for urgent product needs. They build, deliver, and exchange linen carts as needed.
This position requires an 8 week period of training in the Linen department within the Distribution center before being trained in the Coordinator role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English. Bi-Lingual a plus

Preferred:

  • Associates degree
  • Valid NJ Driver s License

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6:00am-4:00pm
  • Sunday-Wednesday
  • Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Manager in conducting the Annual Physical Inventory
  • Ensures expired items are removed from stock and computer inventory
  • Has working knowledge of PeopleSoft MMIS. Operates hand held device efficiently
  • Interacts on a daily basis with Purchasing Department buyers to ensure proper flow of orders. Designates substitute items when appropriate
  • Keeps warehouse stock area neat and organized. Maintains PeopleSoft barcode labeling on shelving
  • Maintains the hospital on hand inventory of all stock items. Including cycle counting, receiving and issuing items in a timely manner
  • Operates power equipment such as power jack, Hi-Lo, fork lift and electrical equipment in a safe, efficient manner
  • Participates in orienting and training of new team members
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Director of Distribution Services
  • Performs re-order function of warehouse stock daily. Compares physical count to computer count to maintain proper par levels. Conducts cycle counts when necessary
  • Sorts and stages products for delivery or to replenish warehouse stock
  • Verifies accuracy of all in-coming deliveries, by counting the actual items, comparing the count to the packing slip and receiving the items in the PeopleSoft Materials Management System
