Description:

HIES is the largest Episcopal Parish day school in the country, offering a fully accredited college preparatory program for students Pre-K3 through 12th grade. HIES is located north of downtown Atlanta between I-75 and GA 400.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, curate, and create/produce content for the HIES Athletics social media accounts and website
  • Identifying storylines; maintaining equity; keeping track of KPIs, stats, and posts; creating posting calendar; developing intentional plan; producing original content; checking in frequently with coaches on team stats, results, news
  • Manage the day-to-day social media operations of the HIES Athletics social media platforms
  • Create “Game Day Post” and stories for all HIES sports teams
  • Post weekly announcements of upcoming game schedules for sports teams
  • Focus on maintaining equity between teams and athletes as much as possible; develop posting calendar with storylines, season arcs, student behavior, and equity in mind
  • Serve as a graphic designer for the athletic department, athletic events, and athletics social media
  • Serve as athletics liaison for the Bears Athletic Program needs and HIES athletics photoshoots
  • Design and create presentations as needed for the athletic department
  • Design and create push pages as needed for the athletic department
  • Maintain the HIES Athletics Sidearm website/assist with site rebuild
  • Import team rosters
  • Upload banner images for articles
  • Upload links and documents
  • Creating new pages for special events
  • Assist coaching staff with digital needs
  • Gather info and write Senior night bios for every Varsity team; help organize and coordinate senior nights with coaches and team parents for announcers and special requests
  • Athletics liaison for internal outlets (WCAT, Alumni newsletter, magazine) as well as external media outlets (Northside Neighbor, ESPN, Prep Sports, radio stations, etc.)
  • Assist with gameday operations for all home football games
  • Assist with collecting and analyzing end-of-season statistics and records
  • Assist with managing the Sports Broadcast student interns and any future student programming through the PEAK

Educational and Other Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of two-years of experience working in athletic communications preferred
  • Fluency in Canva, PowerPoint, Keynote, Adobe, and iMovie
  • Ability to perform effectively as a classroom instructor as needed
