THESE ARE YOUR PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS WE’D APPRECIATE:

  • You have completed a technical or commercial apprenticeship, ideally you can add a training Technical Business Administrator, Purchasing Agent, or similar and you bring 3-4 years professional experience in purchasing, sourcing or procurement (preferably in the bioenergy industry or related fields).
  • You apply excellent negotiation skills and you are able to establish and maintain effective & appreciative supplier relationships.
  • You have profound knowledge in raw material procurement and supply chain management.
  • You communicate fluently in German and English. Any other language is a plus
  • You have a high IT-tool affinity: we mainly work with MS 365 and Notion and are planning to implement Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

At Novocarbo, we work as a team to solve one of the most important problems of our time: our goal is to store 100 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere annually, making a significant contribution to achieving climate goals.
We are one of the largest producers and distributors of biochar in Europe and sell our Carbon Removal Credits to renowned companies worldwide. Several new sites for the production of biochar and regenerative heat are already in planning. To continue this positive momentum, we are looking for a Coordinator Purchasing & Logistics (all genders).This position is a crucial part of our operations team and will ensure care free processes all around purchasing biomass as well as the logistics management and will play a valuable role in the company’s growth.

FOLLOWING TASKS ARE IN FOCUS OF YOUR ROLE

  • You identify high-quality biomass, biochar and other raw materials for our production through diligent market research, sharing insights with your internal stakeholders and managing supplier contact.
  • In alignment with internal stakeholders (i.e.production and sales departments) you support strategic purchasing decisions to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
  • You monitor market trends, analyse raw material prices and share these insights with your internal stakeholders to support them in taking optimal purchasing decisions.
  • You negotiate purchasing contracts and pricing conditions as well as general framework agreements with suppliers and partners.
  • You implement cost and quality monitoring of purchased goods and their suppliers, developing strategies to reduce costs, increase efficiency and evaluating supplier relationships.
