Description:

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Quality Coordinator will assist in leading, facilitating, and supporting cross functional teams charged with designing processed critical to improving access, patient throughput, quality, and provider colleague satisfaction. Partnering with physician, nurse, and administrative leaders, the Quality coordinator is responsible for coordinating system level improvements from process development, design and test through the setting of performance metrics, implementation and monitoring,

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business, Quality, Engineering or other healthcare related field
  • MBA highly desirable, or equivalent industry training and experience,
  • 4+ Years performance improvement project experience
  • Experience with healthcare improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong proven leadership, project management, and execution skills
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated change agent, self-starter and team player
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Capable of leading the charge and thinking out of the box,
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo while able to work diplomatically to keep stakeholders engaged
  • Able to persuade others and gain commitment
  • Understands context of assignments and tasks and able to be flexible and adaptable to changing roles & priorities

Preferred:
Performance Improvement Leadership certification or similar certification preferred

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Monday Friday
  • 8:00am- 4:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the overall Safety Together initiative through preparing scripts for Rounding to Influence, participating in Daily Safety Huddle and taking notes when required, assisting with safety training for new employees, chairing the local Safety Implementation Team, coordinating spirit events, and other duties as assigned
  • Represents NBIMC and CHoNJ through participation in system level committees and initiatives around patient engagement and the journey to a high reliability organization

  • Collects data relevant to the safety coach program, analyzes and prepares reports for all levels of the organization
  • Uses data to drive performance improvement of the safety coach program,

  • Manages patient engagement data including HCAPHS reporting, patient relations complaints and grievances in the event reporting system and providing training to managers and department related to the data/metrics and tools/tactics to address performance improvement
  • Ensures that practice around complaint and grievance management meets regulatory requirements
