An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to lead and join our dynamic team.

  • Salary range: From $93,017 to $102,676 p.a. (HEW 6), plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Appointment Type: Full Time, Continuing
  • Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde)

Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and support planning, quality assurance and evaluation of Library services, systems, and processes.
  • Collate, analyse and report on quantitative and qualitative data to inform strategic and operational planning for the Library
  • Implement and support quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate, prepare and report on Library assessment, benchmarking and quality activities and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Promote and support the development and implementation of service improvement practice and processes in liaison with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with other staff to implement business process improvement and review
  • Support and facilitate the development of performance measures for strategic and operational plans and services
  • Monitor industry and sector trends and identify and report on service delivery impact and opportunity
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders to enhance quality practice and promote a culture of quality, improvement, and innovation
  • Develop processes and resources and deliver training to build relevant knowledge and skills for relevant staff
  • Ensure processes and systems maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations
  • Participate in the delivery of frontline library services including rostered shifts at digital and physical service points as require

Responsibilities:

This role plays an important part in the evidence based Library practice at Macquarie University The role coordinates, monitors and reports on statistics and employs user experience and human centred design approaches to gather client insights, informing evidence-based decision making and supporting business and service improvements.

About You
You will draw on your experience of assessment methodologies, including human centred and customer experience methodologies, and the application of quality assurance and continuous improvement practices to deliver information and evidence that will inform decision making and service improvements.
You will build and manage relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders, reporting and presenting findings and statistical analysis to subject matter experts and business owners.

To be considered for this position, please apply online by submitting your CV and a separate cover letter that demonstrates how you meet the following selection criteria:

  • Degree in an information management related discipline with extensive experience in an academic or research library environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, and qualifications/training.
  • Experience or qualifications in developing and employing human-centred design practices and CX approaches desirable.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience working across multiple systems and programs, with intermediate to advanced skills in productivity software such as Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Email, SharePoint, Power BI, Planner, or other statistics and reporting packages
  • Understanding of library assessment methodologies and the application of quality assurance and continuous improvement practices
  • Communication and presentation skills and demonstrated excellence in writing qualitative and quantitative evaluation reports
  • Demonstrated ability to building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Able to operate effectively in a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships
