Responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation of and ongoing compliance with the VET Quality Framework, under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011, across the operations of the SASES Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate strategies and system for quality assurance in the services delivered by the SASES Training and Organisational Development section, ensuring alignment with ASQA standards, relevant legislation, organisational policies and procedures and industry developments.
  • Undertake robust consultation with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including volunteers, to ensure that training and assessment strategies, systems and practices reflect the needs of the industry, organisation and the learner while also meeting the requirements of the Standards for RTOs
  • Provide high level specialist advice on the broad range of policies and procedures that inform the effective provision of quality learning and organisational development within the SASES.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic direction, policy, and planning processes for the Training and Organisational Development section.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate policies, programs, and professional development initiatives to build and maintain trainer and assessor capacity in the organisation.
  • Plan, implement and coordinate training and professional development initiatives to support a comprehensive staff development program across SASES.
  • Manage Capability Coordinators and Training Systems Project Officer, providing leadership, support and oversight of capability development and budgets, and enhancement of training systems, under broad direction from the Manager, Training and Organisation Development.
  • Represent the SASES at National, State, sector-wide and internal strategic committee level.
