WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We have an ongoing full-time position for a Coordinator - Western Treatment Operations, based across the western area of our service region covering our Hamilton, Portland and surrounding sites. The role manages our Treatment Operations Team with a particular emphasis on maximising productivity in a team environment while taking a lead role in water and sewerage treatment processes, including treatment optimisation, water and treated effluent quality sampling, and works management programs.
This position comes with a generous salary of $96,568 to $107,722 p.a. plus superannuation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for someone with

  • A Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or other tertiary equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in leading small teams.
  • Practical knowledge and awareness of the legislative requirements of treatment plant operations and maintenance.
  • Self-motivation, management of time, setting priorities and a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Sound knowledge of the application of Quality Management Systems in an operational environment.

Responsibilities:

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll:

  • Supervise the operations team to maximise productivity and work satisfaction.
  • Assist with the implementation and on-going review of environmental management and drinking water quality management systems.
  • Effectively and efficiently operate and maintain water and sewerage systems to deliver continuous high-quality services to our customers.
  • Deliver responsibilities in accordance with the nominated budget and prepare monthly budget reports.
