Job Description
Block is looking for a HR Specialists Lead on our Global People Operations team to continue the build-out and scale of our support of our HRBP team and tier two HR support. Reporting to the Global People Operations Lead, you will develop individual contributors on your team as we work together to grow an organization that delivers quality support to our fellow HR teams and employees.
You will:
- Help develop a vision for the HR Specialists team
- Operationalize and centralize in-scope HR processes and intake of asks
- Collaborate closely with HRBP team on projects and day to day tasks for the team
- Identify trends through data, conduct analyses, and propose and implement systematic operational solutions across multiple People data-related matters and processes
- Establish operational thoughtfulness and data metrics for operational oversight and reporting
- Guide and influence partner teams when new programs arise to keep Block safe and compliant
- Work with global teams across varying time zones across our APAC, EMEA and American markets
Qualifications
You have:
- 5+ years of HR experience with operational, project management, or program management activities
- 1+ years experience managing teams
- HRIS (including Workday) operational experience
- Broad HR operational experience in several HR areas
- Experience working with HRBP teams and/or supporting partner HR teams
- Experience with modern communication tools (e.g., Google Meet, Slack)
- Experience implementing processes that scale and manage multiple ongoing projects
- The ability to remain composed with high volume of activities
- A propensity to partner with others at all levels around the world
- The instinct to create personal and professional stretch goals and meet them

- Organized - You know how to keep track of multiple projects through delivery

Additional Information
Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone A: USD $122,900 - USD $184,300
Zone B: USD $114,200 - USD $171,400
Zone C: USD $108,200 - USD $162,200
Zone D: USD $98,300 - USD $147,500
