Description:

OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a brilliant copywriter to join our creative content team.
You’ll be working with a team of editors, designers and art directors to help us create and implement campaigns, editorial stories and content ideas that bring our brand and the benefits of our products to life for our customers.
Able to balance creative flair with an understanding of commercial priorities, you’ll be bursting with ideas, have an eagle eye for detail and be confident working proactively with stakeholders at all levels to deliver on briefs, taking feedback on board.
If you’re as happy coming up with killer creative campaign lines as you are writing compelling, on-brand copy to engage with customers across channels – including eCRM, social, web and POS – and if you’re willing to adapt and grow in a fast-paced retail environment, we’d love to hear from you.
The purpose of the Brand Marketing team is to generate increased brand love, awareness and consideration in customers, encouraging existing customers to shop more with us and new customers to consider Dunelm as a shopping destination. Our brand platform, The Home of Homes, is supported by owned channels, including ATL and organic social, as well as earned media and influencer engagement, underpinned by consistent creative and tone of voice.
We work closely with the Commercial teams, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing to ensure the seamless promotion of our fantastic product offering and the work we do as a responsible retailer to support our local communities and the world in which we operate.
Our purpose at Dunelm is to help our customers create the joy of truly feeling at home. And we do this through our broad range of quality, value-for-money home comforts for every style, every space and every budget.
We stock thousands of products, and we’re a brand for everyone. We have heaps of great stories to tell, too, from our exclusive collaboration with the Natural History Museum to our expanding Conscious Choice collection, which uses more sustainably sourced materials. From our sub-brands such as the high-end Dorma, to our Made to Measure manufacturing centre where we craft bespoke curtains and blinds.
Working within a creative content team including writers, editors, art directors and designers, the Copywriter will work brilliantly to help bring these products and stories to life across our channels with relevant, imaginative, customer-first creative copy and content.
This role is a hybrid opportunity (Office location either London or Leicester Syston).
We recruit people from all types of backgrounds, who share our entrepreneurial, hands-on approach to work. We are committed to creating a full inclusive environment that is representative of our customers and locations. We recognise the value and importance in inclusion and diversity and welcome applications from all candidates, regardless of sex, age, race, religion, disability, neuro-diversity, gender or sexual identity, socio-economic background or education.

Responsibilities:

  • Help create original, engaging, on-brand creative copy and content ideas that can live across channels, answering briefs in line with campaigns, seasonal activity and business priorities.
  • Generate ideas for editorial stories that communicate our key messages to customers in a compelling, engaging way and in line with commercial priorities and seasonal briefs.
  • Write on-brand, best-in-class copy for eCRM, web, organic and paid social, POS, print and packaging as needed.
  • Liaise with teams to understand their channels, briefs and desired outcomes.
  • Put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver outstanding and engaging copy across all Dunelm platforms.
  • Be an advocate for and guardian of the Dunelm brand voice; helping to coach and train teams across the business on how to write to brand voice.
