POSITION SUMMARY

The Copywriter reports to the Creative Director and will develop evergreen and seasonal copy for EO Products two brands, EO and Everyone.
As part of the internal Brand Studio team, this team member will be the primary brand storyteller - working in both digital and retail channels to engage consumers and grow the brand presence.
This is a full-time hybrid position that will require weekly presence on-site on the EO campus. Employee must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people at all levels.
  • Open and willing to receive and implement input from all departments, yet also know how to make the case for your work/approach and advocate for your ideas.
  • Eager and able to learn quickly about the personal care industry through research and guidance.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous, able to uphold quality standards of style and grammar to produce high-quality edited content.
  • Effective at time management, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects successfully under tight or changing timelines.
  • Be a subject matter expert and educate teams on digital writing best practices.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic environment of a fast-growing company.
  • Enthusiasm for the personal care industry is highly desired, but not required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Writing, Communications, or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience writing including brand campaigns, eCommerce, email campaigns, social media, and blogs.
  • Solid knowledge of software tools: Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Industry experience is a big plus!

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with marketing and design team to meet the needs of briefs and deliver on-strategy content and creative copy.
  • Articulate differentiated brand voice and expression for EO and Everyone brands, developing copy that addresses each brand’s audience.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational and communication skills who can collaborate effectively and drive projects from creative conception to execution.
  • Manage deadlines and feedback via Asana. Bi-weekly check-in with Creative Director to kick-off projects and feedback.
  • Partner with QA and Regulatory teams to ensure all copy properly adheres to trademark laws, cosmetics regulation, OTC drug regulation, and other certifying bodies’ guidelines.
  • Digital Marketing: Create and develop copy for website updates, 4 emails, social posts, blogs, and paid ads for each of the two brands.
  • Copy is also needed for many of our on-line retailer partners. Ensuring that they also have the most up to date copy.
  • Product, Packaging and Sales materials (quarterly, as needed): Create and develop product copy that is compelling to consumers and speaks to product attributes. Understand the product’s reason for being, place in the market landscape, marketing claims, and key product insights.
  • Edit and proof all packaging, sell sheets, training, instore displays, collateral and coupons on a weekly basis to ensure accurate, error-free content.
