KNOWLEDGE OF

  • Basic understanding of the capital markets, institutional clients, and corporate clients
  • Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry
  • CRM tools (e.g. Ipreo/BigDough) considered an asset

SKILL IN

  • Professionalism with superior organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

EDUCATIONAL/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education.
  • 5+ years of experience in an executive support role within institutional sales, corporate access, or investor relations or project management
  • Keen interest in capital markets and investor relations.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with clients

Responsibilities:

HOW DOES THE ROLE IMPACT THE ORGANIZATION?

The Corporate Access & Sales Assistant plays an important role in keeping the Sales & Trading Desk operating efficiently and supporting Corporate Access execution. This position involves working closely with the Corporate Access Specialist to facilitate and coordinate access between corporate clients and institutional investors through efficient logistics on roadshows, analyst marketing events, bespoke trips, conferences, and other events. The eligible candidate will also be responsible with efficiently providing administrative & analytical support to the Equities group within the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) department at Raymond James.
Drawing on previous experience, the successful candidate must also be responsible, confident, self-motivated and a team player who has a keen interest in developing their skills and experience. The position will offer the opportunity to gain exposure to senior professionals and institutional clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to take initiative, and will possess exceptional time management, communication and presentation skills.

WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Work closely with the Corporate Access Specialist and Sales team to identify opportunities for corporate access, including deal and non-deal roadshows, conferences, hybrid events, conferences, seminars, investor tours, and analyst marketing days
  • Manage itineraries, create and update marketing materials including presentations
  • Coordinate logistics for in-house events, including meeting room bookings, catering arrangements, AV requirements, and record-keeping.
  • Monitor and report on investor feedback and market trends to help team members make informed decisions
  • Assist Conference & Special Events Coordinators with field trips, forums, symposiums and conferences
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of investors, including their investment criteria and preferences while creating account activity reports as requested
  • Create account activity reports as requested.
  • Manage logistics for in-house events including meeting room bookings, catering arrangements, AV requirements and record-keeping
  • Analyze corporate access activity on an ongoing basis to proactively provide feedback and suggestions to internal stakeholders and clients
  • Assist the Sales, Trading, Research and Corporate Access teams in providing timely, confidential and professional service to all clients both internal and external
  • Other duties as assigned which may include helping route callers on the trading desk, assisting with travel arrangements, preparing expense reports, etc.
