DETAILS OF THE DIVISION AND TEAM:

Deutsche Bank’s Trade Finance and Lending (TF&L) business is a significant division within the Corporate Bank that specializes in providing comprehensive financial solutions to support trade activities, Trade Finance Financial Institutions, Working Capital management, Corporate Loans, Project Finance, Natural Resource Finance and Export Credit Agency (ECA) financing.
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Trade Finance & Lending Distribution Team within the TF&L business at Deutsche Bank. As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in the distribution of loan and trade finance products to investors, ensuring the efficient execution of transactions and contributing to the growth of the business.
Your role as Distribution sales , will be to support the overall de-risking/hedging activities for a select portfolio of TF&L transactions within the Middle East & Africa region, from strategy to execution. This is an opportunity to work in a global team with hubs in New York, London, Germany, Dubai, India and Singapore.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years or more of experience in the banking / finance industry.
  • Knowledge of the Trade Finance & Lending product suite, structures, and business proposition with a focus on Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Receivables/Payables financing techniques, Supply Chain Finance, ECA-covered transactions, Natural Resource Finance structures, Project Finance and Budget Finance transactions.
  • High-level understanding of Primary- and Secondary Market de-risking structures, including Private Risk Insurance, Syndications, Risk Participations, Repackaging, Portfolio de-risking, Fintech’s ecosystems, Alternative and Institutional Investors (including Asset Managers, Funds, Supranational and Multilaterals).
  • Understanding of the MEA markets and macro-economic environments along with experience in managing strong relationship with various investors in region.
  • Can-do attitude with strong capacity for autonomy.
  • Ability to work alone and diligently in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent internal and external interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Team player who is solution oriented, and willing to support junior team members in learning and development.
  • Strong IT skills with experienced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Business travel is needed in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • De-risk, syndicate and underwrite, Trade Flow, Structured Trade Finance and Lending transactions such as Letters of Credit, Guarantees, long-term Export Credit Agency (ECA) covered finance transactions, Natural Resource Finance transactions, Project Finance transactions for large corporates, Government Related Entities, Sovereigns and Financial Institutions.
  • Build, develop and maintain strong investor relationships with Institutional Investors, Banks, Financial Institutions and Development Finance Institutions in the Middle East & Africa region.
  • Help identify new business opportunities, optimize distribution strategies, and understand the funding programs and priorities of multilaterals.
  • Work with the deal teams throughout the structuring of transactions and support in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide market pricing and risk mitigation strategies across all Trade Finance & Lending products.
  • Support in the creation of pitch-books, term sheets, presentations, pre-screeners, reports and other deal related documentation that may be distributed to senior management and/or potential investors.
  • Understand market trends, investor preferences, and competitive landscape in the Trade Finance & Lending Distribution, Loan Syndication and Asset Mobilization space across the Middle East and Africa region.
  • Support the global Distribution team in their reporting duties (including Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime, Customer relationship management, Resale Price Method, Trade & Syndications).
  • Execute all de-risking activities as per prevailing internal approvals, policies as well as in accordance with the prevailing key operating documents and external regulations (with specific focus on non-financial risks, business conduct, anti-trust rules, etc.).
