Corporate & Investment Banking ("CIB") delivers a comprehensive suite of capital markets, banking, and financial products and services. A trusted partner to our clients, we provide corporate and transactional banking; commercial real estate lending and servicing; investment banking; equity; and fixed income solutions including sales, trading, and research capabilities to corporate, commercial real estate, government, and institutional clients across the globe.
The Cross CIB Banking and Wealth Solutions team within CIB is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join its team. The position will report to the Head of Cross CIB Banking and Wealth Solutions.
Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting more senior staff with financial and credit analysis for assigned portfolio of loans within Corporate Banking Relationship Management functional area
- Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations
- Represent the bank in developing and maintaining relationships with smaller or less complex clients
- Present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in assigned market through pro-active, strategic and consistent business development and client retention
- Perform or guide credit underwriting work of peers in accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations
- Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders, including clients

- Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite may also be required
