Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

This role resides in Corporate Finance within the ADM Finance 3-legged stool structure. This is a dual scope role comprising the roles of financial planning and analysis, and statutory reporting and technical accounting.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Lead annual APAC Corporate Planning processes in the record-to-report process catalog.
  • Coordinate preparation and consolidation of annual plan, monthly forecasts, key performance measures, and performance reporting to Corporate Function leaders and finance executives.
  • Coordinate and consolidate annual plan for the APAC region with all regional BU Leaders and BU Finance leaders.
  • Partner across the APAC finance organization with a focus on driving actions that improve the business units and regional performance.
  • Assist with the annual business plan including operating, capital and financial components
  • Support potential development of dashboards to support the regional finance lead and president
  • Benchmark company’s regional financial and operating result against industry performance
  • Participate and demonstrate leadership in cross-functional efforts within Finance to continually improve reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis processes.
  • Define, design and create driver-based planning and forecasting models and align models to monthly actuals management reporting.
  • Develop and present financial plans, projections, and ad hoc analysis requests to senior management.
  • Work with relevant business partners to provide instructions and direction into financial forecasts and plan requirements, including insights and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to influence others within a matrix environment including senior management

Statutory & Technical Accounting:

  • Develop an organisation strategy for APAC entities that directly supports Global Lead Statutory Reporting
  • Oversight or preparation of statutory financial statements of regional entities, including statutory process coordination and planning with other members of GBS Record to Report, internal and external auditors.
  • Understand the ADM structure and systems in order to properly assist local controllers and department leaders regarding statutory issues on taxation, pensions, legal entity restructuring, dividends, intercompany financing, M&A impacts
  • Provide overall guidance on accounting and disclosure for several local GAAP’s
  • Active involvement in Merger, Acquisitions, Liquidations and Tax Restructuring projects
  • Lead the work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of financial internal controls for Local GAAP Purpose
