Band 6 Corporate Finance Manager - Income Services
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Management Accounting - Finance Income within the trust’s Corporate Financial Management team.
The post holder will be providing management accounting support to all directorate, responsible for ensuring that Income information is produced accurately within agreed timescales and in accordance with financial procedures.
You will provide financial advice and guidance to budget holders and work closely with the management team to support the service delivery.
Timely and accurate invoicing and ultimate receipt of cash payment.
Identification of potential additional income streams.
Log all challenges and demonstrate improvement in the speed of their resolution.
Demonstrable commitment to relevant personal professional development activity.
Active participation in at least two profit improvement projects each year which generate measurable benefits.
To manage and ensure receipt of all income due in respect of contract exclusions, including patient-specific high cost drugs and equipment.
Assist in the preparation of the monthly contract reports from SLAM for the Trust’s main NHS commissioned income. Liaise with the Information Dept., as required, to ensure the appropriate activity data information is used and validated.
Be an expert in the use of the Trust’s contract monitoring reporting system ‘SLAM’ – which provides activity, pricing and invoice support information to commissioners.
Responsible for the production of NCA invoices and backing data and resolve any financial queries.
Resolve any queries raised on monthly contract reports and/or patient-specific high cost drugs and equipment by the Trust’s main commissioners.
Assist in undertaking the complex detailed financial accounting to ensure the Trust’s monthly financial ledger accurately reflects the Trust’s performance against its income contracts, and especially in respect of patient-specific high cost drugs and equipment income.
Undertake the appropriate income and data analyses to understand and issue reports on variances against monthly income plans and budgets.
Prepare detailed routine and ad hoc income analyses and reports as required by both Corporate Finance senior management and the Care Group Finance senior management.

To resolve any income-related query referred by the Trust’s Care Groups.
Provide analyses of priced activity information to the Management Accounts team to support expenditure variance analyses.
Responsible for invoicing for NHS Minor Contracts and ad hoc invoicing as required.
Deputise for and support the Head of Income – Income & Revenue (in all roles) when required.
To contribute to the development of the section to continually improve the service to meet the changing needs of the customers. Including developing procedures and processes.
