As the Corporate GM Legal (Conglomerate), you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal counsel and guidance to the organisation. Reporting directly to the owner, you will oversee the legal functions of each business unit within the conglomerate. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience and have a diverse background in the areas of mining, energy, manufacturing, or real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic initiatives to support business expansion
• Provide expert legal advice and guidance on cross-border M&A transactions, investments, and other corporate legal matters across diverse business units
• Oversee the legal functions of each business unit within the conglomerate, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support the growth and success of each business unit
• Manage and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents for various business operations
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and mitigate legal risks
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities and key stakeholders
• Represent the organisation in legal proceedings, if required
