We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional team member to join Deloitte’s Office of the General Counsel.
What will your typical day look like?
You may start the day running corporate legal due diligence, reviewing finance facility terms, providing legal advice on matters relating to the Corporations Act, un and end the day negotiating definitive documentation for a corporate transaction.
In a corporate law focused role, you will work closely with the firm’s internal corporate development team on the execution and integration of corporate transactions to Deloitte, assisting in company secretarial related matters for the firm, whilst also providing strategic advice on internal matters to the broader firm.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WITH:
3 to 5 years’ experience as a corporate/M&A lawyer either in a private practice or in-house role.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, corporate structure changes, company secretarial work, and other corporate matters.
Ability to work both as part of a team as well as independently where required.
Ability to draft and review a range of documentation and correspondence, including drafting legal advice, preparing due diligence reports, corporate secretarial documentation, and commercial contracts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high attention to detail.
Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle a high-volume of matters, across all areas of the firm.
The ability to adapt to a growing business at an exciting time where service offerings are being regularly reviewed to meet changing needs.
Experience working effectively as part of an energetic, collaborative team.
The ability to “think outside the box” to present alternatives and solutions.
