Description:

NATURE OF THE POSITION

The District of Sechelt is seeking a Corporate Records Assistant for a temporary, one-year assignment to assist with the implementation of a new digital records management system. Reporting to the Corporate Officer and under the general supervision of the Corporate Records Administrator, the Records Assistant will provide administrative support to the Corporate Services department.
Duties will include supporting and implementing corporate records management standards and procedures, assisting staff and external consultants with transitioning to the Microsoft 365 SharePoint platform while maintaining compliance with records retention regulations and filing conventions, maintaining the multiuser records management system, digitizing paper records and assisting with the functions of the Information and Privacy Coordinator for records requests.
