As a Corporate Strategy Analyst, you will contribute to the success of our organization by providing strategic analyses and recommendations. Leveraging your analytical skills, you will assess market dynamics, competitors, and internal capabilities to inform and shape our corporate strategy. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities on a global scale, optimizing business processes across diverse markets, and ensuring the long-term competitiveness of the company in the complex global energy market. Your insights will be instrumental in guiding the organization’s strategic decisions as we navigate and thrive in the unique challenges and opportunities presented by our extensive global footprint.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years’ experience in consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis, market research, or strategy roles. Previous international experience will be well regarded.
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • Experience using SAP and BPC is an asset

  • Project Management: Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from initiation to completion. Extensive experience in leading or contributing to cross-functional projects.
  • Global Business Understanding: In-depth understanding of global business dynamics, cultural nuances, and experience addressing challenges specific to operating in multiple countries across various time zones.
  • Industry knowledge: Committed to staying abreast of natural gas and energy transition industry trends, competitors, and key drivers influencing the business.
  • Language skills: Proficiency in Arabic or Spanish is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of global market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Financial Analysis: Evaluate financial data and performance metrics to assess the financial health of the organization and its competitors. This may involve analyzing financial statements, forecasting financial trends, and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of the organization’s strategic plan. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define strategic objectives and initiatives aligned with overall business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment of strategic goals.
  • Strategy Implementation: Facilitate the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments and tracking progress towards established goals.
  • Scenario Planning: Develop and analyze various strategic scenarios to anticipate potential challenges and opportunities, enabling the organization to proactively respond to changes in the business environment.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies. Regularly assess and report on the progress of strategic initiatives.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): As needed, participate in the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, or divestitures by conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and risk analysis.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Prepare and deliver clear and concise presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to leadership. Generate reports and documentation to capture key findings and support decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Evaluate potential risks associated with strategic initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impacts.
