Assist with annual sustainability reporting requirements by conducting gap assessments, benchmarking and presenting opportunities for continuous reporting improvements. Support the development and tracking of sustainability-related business performance targets.
Support the development of sustainability communications in partnership with our communications teams.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships to explore opportunities and advance sustainability initiatives.
Enhance your knowledge of sustainability standards, reporting frameworks and reporting best practices through industry associations, communications, training and educational opportunities. What it takes:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Environment with a focus on corporate social responsibility, environmental sciences or another sustainability-related discipline, plus a minimum of four (4) years of related experience. Experience in sustainability and coordination and implementation of sustainability initiatives is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability standards, reporting protocols (ex. GHG Protocol, GRI, etc.).
Demonstrated strong understanding of environmental issues, corporate sustainability best practices, carbon footprint data, sustainable development and renewable energy.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task with strong experience in project management, analysis and performance reporting.
Demonstrated ability to carry projects and initiatives to completion while working successfully with people at many organizational levels both in a team environment and independently.
Excellent organization skills and thorough attention to detail for designing programs.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
