CORPORATE TAX PROFESSIONAL

JDI Finance has over 225 finance professionals delivering accounting and reporting, business analysis and transactional services to the operating divisions of J.D. Irving, Limited. It is a collaborative organization of dedicated finance professionals offering many careers paths within finance and across our diverse businesses.
We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Corporate Tax Professional to join our Finance team in Saint John or Moncton, New Brunswick.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing corporate income tax returns and other tax-related filings
  • Preparing year-end corporate income tax provisions and other interim tax provisions
  • Researching and analyzing tax issues
  • Drafting technical tax memos and other tax-related documents
  • Conducting tax-related due diligence for acquisitions
  • Providing assistance in responding to audits from tax authorities

Qualifications:

  • University or college degree in a relevant business field
  • Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation or equivalent experience in tax and accounting
  • Experience in Canadian corporate tax compliance and audits
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a sense of urgency and high attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
