Description:
Your key responsibilities- Coordinate all departmental, Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence and enquiries, briefing notes, Questions on Notice, Possible Parliamentary Questions, and other documentation as required by the Attorney-General and senior departmental leaders in consultation with a range of stakeholders including the judiciary, relevant CCQ staff and departmental officers.- Coordinate deadlines and provide quality assurance in line with the Departmental Style Guide to Ministerial and Director-General briefing notes and correspondence.- Provide advice and support to CCQ staff with respect to drafting and preparing Ministerial and Director-General briefing notes and correspondence.- Coordinate official media responses on behalf of CCQ, in consultation with a range of stakeholders including the judiciary and departmental officers and respond to queries/requests of a complex nature that are directed to the office.- Coordinate the publication of information about CCQ, including preparing draft reports, updating publications for families and professionals, and maintaining the CCQ website and courts webpages as a system administrator in Squiz Matrix.- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the judiciary, departmental officers, key coronial system partners and other stakeholders to support corporate administration.- Provide high level analytical and problem-solving skills, exercise initiative, sound judgment and develop innovative solutions in a work environment with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
The work of the Coroners Court of Queensland will expose employees to disturbing material including offending behaviours, criminal activity and other explicit, distressing or offensive content. Employees will be required to engage with persons who have and may continue to experience distressing circumstances and/or are involved with the coronial system. Applicants should consider the above and their personal resilience and coping strategies to sustain working in confronting and challenging circumstances.
