JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced journalist to develop and deliver stories about Singapore for the online platform of CNA

DESCRIPTION:

• Report on Singapore news events, delivering articles ranging from straightforward coverage to in-depth analytical features.
• Deliver a steady stream of original stories, including long-form features, exclusives and interviews.
• Seek and analyse news leads and tips.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
• Be a motivated self-starter.
• At least 6 years of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A proven track record of delivering articles which showcase strong journalism skills, such as exclusives, in-depth analyses or brilliantly written features.
• An outstanding grasp of current issues and news both locally and globally.
• An extensive network of contacts.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.
