  • Month-End Excellence: Enhance the S&A month-end close process, particularly focusing on inventory management and cost of goods sold.

  • Risk Management: Identify gaps within existing business controls and recommend ways to minimise key risks.
  • Team Support: Cross-train with the finance team to ensure critical tasks have adequate cover.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a medium-sized B2B business. Experience in the building industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and core accounting functions.
  • Skills: Highly organised, excellent communicator, and comfortable working in a small team environment.
  • Attributes: High level of ownership, initiative, and a proactive approach to improving business performance.

What Great Looks Like:

  • One Month: You’ll have an in-depth introduction to the business and complete critical deliverables like month-end reporting.
  • Three Months: You’ll have a plan in place for labor and materials costing, stock management, and resource planning.
  • Six Months: You’ll bring structure to the month-end process, reducing the time to close down to an acceptable level (ideally Day 3).

If you’re ready to take on this exciting challenge and contribute to the success of S&A Stairs, we want to hear from you!
