DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Cost Analyst
Location: Neenah, WI
Description:
Under the direction of the Finance Manager, this position provides costing and analytical support to operations at Neenah Converting Center site, as well as to the Finance Managers and Business Analysts.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Provide financial, business and process analytics to enable operations to achieve or exceed its business objectives.
  • Support cost saving initiatives by working in partnership with Operations. Calculate and track savings against established targets. Actively participate in various cost savings projects & idea creation with Operations team.
  • Review and update standard costs and BOM’s on a continual basis. Includes development of standard asset rates & evaluating machine performance to determine where further analysis & updates may be required.
  • Support related process initiatives to ensure improved performance.
  • Demonstrate understanding of manufacturing process within facility through analytics, outside of reoccurring asks.
  • Work with local and corporate accounting teams to ensure a timely and accurate month end closing.
  • Support the monthly closing process by reviewing and closing jobs, reviewing results, and making required journal entries.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the Oracle ERP costing, accounting, and inventory systems.
  • Ensure financial reporting responsibilities are done in a manner consistent with NPI and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Provide effective and accurate Power BI Dashboards that reflect site performance.
  • Construct and lead/report out on weekly cadence. Recommend improvements, coordinate follow-up actions, and resolve open matters.
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret Operations asks & create or modify existing reporting to be “value added.”
  • Provide financial planning and forecasting to meet business requirements.
  • Provide forecasting Neenah Converting Center Spend, Absorption and Work Order Variances.
  • Provide analysis specific to any Outside Converting activities.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting or finance with a minimum of 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Advanced MS Office Skills, Advanced EXCEL user, Pivot table, VLOOKUP, etc.
  • Experience with large ERP systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously without direct onsite supervision
