REQUIREMENTS

  • Administration, finance, or engineering degree;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Bilingual (an asset), but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required;
  • Strong personal IT skills (MS Office suite) and relevant software skills specific to project controls.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the cost control cycle throughout the project execution, by setting up projects/mandates, tracking budgets and schedules, within the project management system;
  • Calculate the initial budget on the basis of the proposal;
  • Ensure tracking of hours, expenses, costs and budget updates;
  • Monitor changes and coordination with the project team;
  • Evaluate change requests, evaluate their impact on project objectives and communicate changes to stakeholders;
  • Ensure and manage the project progress monitoring with discipline managers, including cost and schedule controls;
  • Ensure follow-up with project managers on regular updates of project forecasts, including periodic assistance in the estimation of remaining project costs, as well as necessary provisions and risks;
  • Records and resolves issues relating to project budgets and schedules;
  • Ensure the quality of prepared project status reports, executive summaries, and dashboards to provide timely updates on performance.
