Description:

We are looking for a meticulous Cost Controller to join our new cost-controlling team in a dynamic, international, and fast-growing company located at the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. As a Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the cost calculation of jet engine repairs through comprehensive profitability analysis, and identification of cost drivers and trends.
The Cost Controller will be responsible for collecting data from various channels, including IFS ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, contractual agreements, and stakeholders across different departments. Following data compilation, the Cost Controller will conduct a thorough profitability analysis, forecast, and finally prepare invoices. A Cost Controller will be a focal point of contact for inquiries related to cost calculation, invoicing, profitability, and forecasting.
Cost Controller will be providing insights to support decision-making, assume responsibility for profitability analysis, and do forecast based on completed shop visits. This role will also oversee the collection of cost data performed by other team members.
The ideal candidate doesn’t mind routine tasks and possesses a technical and analytical mindset with a keen interest in learning technical aspects of turbine engine technology. Additionally, they have a strong understanding of relational databases, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with cross-departmental collaboration.
This role has no direct reports and reports to the Financial Director. This is a full-time onsite permanent position in Vantaa in a dynamic and fast-growing company, where you can influence your own work.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in data collection and analysis
  • Proficiency in spoken and written business English
  • Advanced skills in Excel or other relevant software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders.
  • Readiness to perform routine work.
  • Proactive team player with ability to operate independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and compile data related to jet engine repair services, including labor hours, material costs, overhead expenses, and any additional charges.
  • Analyze cost data to verify accuracy and identify any discrepancies or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues as needed.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate invoices, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements, pricing structures, and billing terms.
  • Assist in cost calculations for quotation and proposal preparation.
  • Continuous development of the calculation process
  • Forecasting and profitability analysis
