Responsibilities:
We are looking for a dynamic Accountant with strong analytical abilities to join our team. Reporting to the Global Operations Accounting Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for leading MSA’s Global Intercompany Inventory and Transfer Pricing financial process. Duties include closing activities, providing monthly variance analysis and reporting as well as budgeting and forecasting.
This role ensures the integrity of Intercompany accounting information in accordance with company practices and GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles). If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you!

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Proven ability to analyze complex sets of data and provide root causes and recommendations based upon analysis results.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate accounting and financial reports or documents of a moderately complex nature.
  • Solid computer skills in MS Office products, especially Excel.
  • Proven experience working on multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating project plans, meeting deadlines, and producing high-quality work results and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver oral presentations, primarily to internal associates.
  • Proven ability to identify project obstacles and use creativity to develop alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and follow through on course of action.
  • A strong continuous improvement orientation and desire to grow in skills and career.
  • Fluency in English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or related discipline.
