Aufgaben

• Cost estimation, including target costing, cost modeling, and top-down and bottom-up approaches for our developed products across various manufacturing technologies.
• Conducting cost analyses to review the manufacturing processes of our suppliers (bottom-up calculations, cost breakdown analysis) and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements with suppliers.
• Developing and implementing cost-saving strategies, as well as working in cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, procurement, sales) to gather data, assess risks, and evaluate opportunities.
• Developing cost models to support product development in early stages: design-to-cost, design for manufacturing, design for supply chain.
• Regular reporting and updating of cost-saving initiatives, as well as cost analysis to support target cost management, benchmarking, make-or-buy decisions, and project budgeting.

Qualifikation

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education in mechanics, mechanical engineering, production technology, or equivalent fields in mechanical engineering (HF/FH) with relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cost savings, development, and strategic procurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and analysis tools, focusing on essential facts, preferably PowerBI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify cost-saving potentials.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills, demonstrated in working within a global complex organization.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, semiconductor industry experience is an advantage.
• Leadership of cross-functional/category teams (at least functionally).
• Very good German and good English skills (B1).
